CIn Professional Master's Program — Estruturas Organizacionais e Planejamento Estratégico (Organizational Structures and Strategic Planning)

Module of the Professional Master's in Computer Science at CIn/UFPE, taught by Giordano Cabral. Most of the students were IT managers from Federal Institutes across several regions of the country and worked on problems from their own institution. At the 2015 opening class, the group's expectations were recorded, and one of them defined the module's objective: "planning that works".

Two cohorts: the 2014 cohort, with classes between September and October 2015, and the 2019.1 cohort, with classes in May and June 2019.

One business venture project per team, in four stages: choose an audience and a problem; run ideation methods (brainstorming, brainwriting, 635); select and develop a proposal using planning tools — SWOT, the BCG matrix, Porter's five forces, OKRs, the value curve, Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas, and scenario planning; and defend it in a final pitch, with 360-degree assessment. Individual value curve, group scenario-planning exercises — including "the government privatizes the Federal Education Network" —, Porter's five forces, the BCG matrix and OKRs brought in by the class, individual and group canvases, and a final presentation with 360-degree assessment.
