Received his PhD in Electronic Engineering from Geoge Washington University, USA. Dr. Omidyar worked as Invited Professor at University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin and as Scientific Consultant for the US Revenue Service, conducting research about emerging new technologies at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dr. Omidyar was as CSC Consultant Engineer and worked for NASA and Bell Communications Research Center.

He was consultant for Telecom Egypt, Chairman of the 11th IEEE annual workshop on computer communications and 6th IEEE workshop on computer - aided Modeling, Analysis and Design of Communications Society Links and Networks and President of the First Committee for the International Workshop on Mobile and Wireless Communications Networks.
