Received the B.Eng(Electronic), M. Eng cum laude and Ph.D degrees from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Dr. van Wyk works as communication systems engineer at Ronin Wireless. He has published over 30 articles in the area of digital communications.

He has co-authored the book entitled "Space-time processing for CDMA" with P. van Rooyen and M. Lotter by Kluwer Academic Publishers.

He is the author of an international patent. His research interests include channel coding, CDMA and smart antennas for mobile and satellite communications.

Dr. van Wyk is member of SAIEE and IEEE.
