Academic Background:

·         B.E. in Electrical Engineering (emphasis in electronics) at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) in 1997.

·         M.Sc. in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 2001.  

Professional Experience:

·         Electronic Engineer at Processus Actio Engenharia de Automacao de Sistemas LTDA in Recife (PE) since November, 1997

·         Trainee of Network Engineering Services Department at IBM Brasil LTDA in Recife (PE) from October, 1996 to October, 1997

·         Lecturer at Universidade Salgado de Oliveira (UNIVERSO) in Recife (PE) since February, 2001.  

Research Activities:

·         Organizing Committee Member of the 2001 IEEE Mobile and Wireless Communication Networks Conference (MWCN’2001).

·         Member of GPRT (Grupo de Pesquisa em Redes e Telecomunicações or Networking and Telecom Research Group, in english) of the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Recife (Pernambuco), interested in Wireless and Mobile Computing, Quality of Service (QoS) in Mobile Environments and Telecommunication, especially GSM/GPRS technology.

·         Developed a GPRS simulator as her Masters’ degree project.
