Marcelo d'Amorim received his B.S. and M.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) in 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Darko Marinov. Marcelo joined the Computer Science faculty at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, in 2009.
