  Youubi is an u-learning environment that was developed as a component-oriented reference architecture, applied to the context of formal and informal learning. Reports from researchs involving teachers showed that they see the Youubi as an important ally to their practices. The results also showed that the intrinsic u-learning environments features, com- bined with features of gamification, social network and challenges can balance learning and leisure, and consequently promote moti- vation and engagement of learners.
