Welcome

My name is Yguaratã Cerqueira Cavalcanti. Borned in Maceió(AL - Brazil) -- the waters paradise -- and actually i live in Recife(PE - Brazil). I am Bachelor of Computer Science (Federal University of Alagoas) and Msc cadidate in Computer Science by Federal University of Pernambuco.

Interests/research

My interest subjects are programming (mainly in Python), Linux, web development, software reuse, bug reports triage process and Software Engineering in general. Moreover, sports (surf, skate, water polo) and guitar has my attention on free time.

Actually i am researching some challenges in bug repositories to my MSc degree. If it interest you, this post (portuguese) wrote by me on World of reuse can make things about it more clear.

Code utils/Projects

Here are some projects i've been created, participated or made some contributions. In some of these my participation is very slow now, because my MsC take so many time. But i still list them here in attempt to increase their audience.

• ANKOS - a java based framework for disease focus simulation. This project was performed in the Software Engineering curse provided in the master's curse grade at CIn/UFPE
• Emesene - a msn clone written in Python. I have performed some code commits during a period of three months to Emesene project, including a plugin to shake the window. Unfortunately, my spare time is too short to continue contributing. However i am still using this messenger.
• Daily spent - a self organizer. This is an organizer to control spent. It is web based and developed in Python. Everyone is wellcome to contribute with it.
• PyCF - Python Component Framework. This project was done as pre-requisite to obtain my Bachelor degree. It consists in a framework do develop any application with Python components according to the framework specification. Furthermore, a key point of this framework is the support for dynamic evolution. I do not ever seen something like this in Python, thus if it of your concern you probably must take a look.
• youShare - an experimental file sharing system. This is a file sharing system developed in Java as a pre-requisite to the Distributed Systems curse provided in the master's curse grade at CIn/UFPE

MSc

I am currently at a master curse at CIn/UFPE with concentration area in Software Engineering. Actually i am investigating search techniques in order to solve problems related to bug reports triage process, specifically in bug reports duplication problem.

As consequence of my MSc i also have a scholarship at C.E.S.A.R./SOFTEX to develop tools and investigate solutions related to software visualization and bug triage. I hope soon be able to post techniques information about my job here, as tools used, programming language, algorithms etc.

Music

I had composed a music with a friend of mine, Allan, entitled Evil Is My Other Side. It is based on Dr. Jeckill and Mr. Hide comics history. The music was composed as a pre-requisite for the English course at CCB, Maceió/Brazil.

The music can be download here, we hope you enjoin it as we enjoined composing it. For the curiosity, it was composed in two days, including lyrics and instruments composition.
